Our Story
Preion was born from a shared concern: lithium batteries are now everywhere — in our homes, garages, and workplaces — but the detection technology around them has barely changed. After watching how late a typical smoke alarm reacts to a real battery fire, our founders Péter and Balázs set out to build something that warns earlier. Years of research, sensor work, and AI development led to a system that monitors the invisible chemistry of a failing battery, not just the smoke it eventually produces.
